Ms. Keesha Sellars, the Department Administrator for the Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics (MAMS) at Case Western Reserve University, has been elected by her colleagues as the Exempt representative from the College of Arts and Sciences on the Staff Advisory Council (SAC). This prestigious election highlights Keesha’s dedication to advocating for her peers and contributing to a supportive, engaged university environment.
Members of the Staff Advisory Council serve a two-year term, with a commitment to enhancing communication between university staff and administration. Through her new role, Keesha is eager to ensure that the voices of MAMS and other university staff are represented in university discussions and policy-making, affirming her strong advocacy for her department and the Collge of Arts and Sciences. Keesha’s responsibilities extend beyond advisory duties. She will participate actively in three SAC committees: Fringe Benefits, Community Service, and Staff Development and Training. By contributing to these committees, Keesha aims to address staff needs, promote professional development, and support initiatives that benefit the university’s diverse staff community. Already engaged in SAC activities, Keesha volunteered at the Benefits Fair on November 6 and is set to join a roundtable on free speech on November 22, where she will continue her efforts to champion open communication and staff inclusion. With her dedication and insight, Keesha’s presence on the Council is anticipated to strengthen the advocacy and support available to her colleagues.
