On February 7-8, 2026, the Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics hosted the Winter 2026 installment of the Midwest Topology Seminar, a weekend conference series that has been running three times per year since the 1960’s. The seminar featured lectures by six speakers in algebraic topology, and drew 90 participants from across the Midwest. This event was made possible thanks to support by the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and the NSF.
