Dr. Calvetti was recently elected fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA) http://www.aaia-ai.org/. The AAIA is an academic, non-profit, and non-governmental organization voluntarily formed in Hong Kong in 2021. The main mission is to strengthen scientists in the field of AI and other fields worldwide to promote the development and application of AI through academic research, academic exchanges, science education, science exhibitions, academic conferences, academic publications, summer/winter camps and other activities.

Dr. Calvetti’s research has previously been recognized, for example by a 2023 SIAM fellowship, a Simons fellowship, and most recently by an honorary membership in the Finnish Inverse Problems Society.
