Congratulations to our undergraduate team—Emily Ye, Augustus Kaufmann, and Avi Chetlin—for tying with John Carroll University for second place among Ohio teams at this year’s Leo Schneider Student Mathematics Competition, held during the Spring MAA Tri-Section Meeting.
Modeled after the Indiana Collegiate Mathematics Competition, this two-hour challenge tasked teams with solving problems across a broad range of topics, including calculus, probability, geometry, algebra, linear algebra, and number theory. The CWRU MAMS team scored 21 out of 90 points, earning a $105 award.
Kudos to our talented students!
